See You at #SXSW
This will be my third year at the SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin (and the first as a non-speaker, making for what I hope is a more relaxed time). SXSW Interactive is hands down the best conference in the country for digital enthusiasts, and what makes it so great is that the focus is squarely on the creators rather than vendors selling their wares, though I’m sure there will be some of that too.
With the renewed attention on technology and politics in the wake of Obama’s election, I count at least four political panels on the agenda. Beyond the numerous conversations in the lobby or over some good ‘Q, Engage will be co-hosting a happy hour for conservative and libertarian members of the technology community on Sunday.
We invite all our friends to join us at RIGHT-by-Southwest with our special guest Texas Railroad Commissioner Michael Williams. Williams is seeking the U.S. Senate seat likely to be vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison in her run for Texas Governor.
Here are the deets:
What: RIGHT-by-Southwest Happy Hour & Tweetup
When: Sunday, March 15, 5pm-7pm (please arrive at 5 sharp as Commissioner Williams needs to leave to be honored at the Texas Social Media Awards at 6)
Where: Moonshine Grill (on the patio), 303 Red River Street, Austin, TX (right across from the convention center) – Google Map
We thank our friends at Edelman Digital for their co-sponsorship of this event!
